Biography
It all began in 1989 with his love for mixing. Gryphon's solid background in music, and being a second generation DJ, allowed him to step up and play with internationally acclaimed DJs such as DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Basement Jaxx, Kenny Hawkes, Ashley Beedle and Derrick Carter without missing a beat. "My main influence would have to be Derrick Carter because of his methodical mixing abilities creating one long journey of sound. I enjoy the quality of music he chooses to play." Gryphon is recognized for both his smooth deep house sets and hard house, depending on the occasion and energy of the moment and people.

In 1998, Gryphon performed in the live show as part of Green Velvet's European Tour promoting Velvet's Constant Chaos. "It was a great opportunity to see other parts of the world and experience different nightlife cultures, along with meeting new and exciting people." Traveling throughout Europe experiencing numerous club venues and events, Gryphon further honed his performance skills as an artist and up and coming producer.

Gryphon, alongside long time friend Jason Hodges, performed a phenomenal four deck show which has traveled throughout parts of the states and secured them monthly residencies at Toronto’s Comfort Zone, Element Bar and afterhours 99 Sudbury. Gryphon throws down a unique style of soulful vocals, stomping tribal beats and jazzy dubs that have definitely placed him in a league of his own.
