Biography
Jay-J is undoubtedly a legend in House Music. Spanning a career with over 150 releases, he’s won a Grammy® nomination, had his own Coke® bottle for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, DJ’d the 2006 MTV® AVMAs and launched two comp series for Defected. Jay-J’s syndicated radio show, “Live From…”, allows fans to “join him live from” his gigs worldwide, showcasing the latest tracks from his signature, Funky House/West Coast sound. As a producer, you’ll see his name on the biggest releases from Moulton Studios, OM, Naked Music and Defected. He’s remixed artists from Jill Scott to Joss Stone and has collaborated with producers from Kaskade to Miguel Migs. On his new label, Shifted Music, you’ll find releases by Jay-J as well as some of the best talent he’s discovered while sharing his passion for House Music around the globe.

LOVE ALIVE: Jay-J's first full length artist album out now!!

Jay-J spent the last two years crafting his debut artist album, LOVE ALIVE; a smooth collection of meaningful and positive songs about love and sensuality. More than just ‘dancefloor music’, Jay-J delivers the goods and raises the bar with this strong, lyrically driven, warm and uplifting album. Not bound by any particular genre, Love Alive touches upon a wide range of music ranging from soulful house to downtempo chill to R&B and electro. Thoughtful lyrics and beautiful vocals are provided by Big “Brooklyn” Red, Michelle Shaprow, Charlene Moore, Brian “BAM” Morgan, Judy Albanese and Fabian Leo with lush sounds and edgy instrumentation performed by a slew of notable musicians including Scott Wozniak (Large/Defected) and Tim K. (Home & Garden/Collette/Lucy Woodard/OM Records).

Into the Light Remixes Part 1 & 2

      

Into The Light is the second single from Jay-J's debut Album Love Alive that features Big Brooklyn Red. This package of mixes is complete with the help of Australia's Nathan G and Joshua Heath, straight outta Southern Cal.

Part 2 of the Into The Light Remix package contains remixes from Christian Alvarez (Delecto Recordings, Vancouver, BC). Featuring the vocals of Big Brooklyn Red, Christian worked it out with a smooth vocal mix and super funkin’ dub.
