Legendary San Francisco deep house label Amenti Music presents its first mix compilation series: “Destination”. Amenti Music has been at the forefront of the San Francisco deep house music movement for the past nine years, and has featured a long list of house luminaries including Mood II Swing, Charles Webster, Fred Everything, JT Donaldson, LawnChair Generals, Giom, and many others. The first compilation in the series, “Destination: San Francisco” is mixed by none other than label head honcho Olivier Desmet, one of the hottest names in today’s dance music scene.

OLIVIER DESMET

A San Francisco transplant from Belgium, Oliver Desmet is a 20 year veteran behind the decks, having played to packed venues from Sydney to Tokyo and from London to Miami. He’s also a world-renowned producer and remixer, with over 50 releases on labels such as Strictly Rhythm, King Street, Om Records, and of course Amenti Music. His DJ mix featured here is a true reflection of the Amenti sound – a true excursion that blends peak-time grooves seamlessly with deep and melodic funk. “Destination: San Francisco” is a worthy follow up to Olivier’s massively successful DJ mix CD release “San Francisco Sessions Volume 6”, released in 2008 on Om Records. The release also features a compilation of 14 unmixed house tracks that range from lovingly remastered hard-to-find classics to brand new dance floor jams.
